Allen approves a new business park that already has a major tenant
Allen’s planning commission has given the go-ahead for a new business park on State Highway 121 that has already attracted a major tenant.
The almost 13-acre office and flex space campus is planned on S.H. 121 near Watters Road.
The proposed development will have two buildings with more than 140,000 square feet of space.
One of the buildings has already been leased to Omnilife, a Mexico-based nutritional products and supplement firm. The company plans to use the location to house its U.S. headquarters, Allen planning commissioners were told at Tuesday night’s meeting. Omnilife has existing distribution centers in Dallas and Fort Worth.
Developer Heady Investments is building the project. And architect 5G Studio Collaborative designed the buildings, which are on the south side of S.H. 121.
Allen’s planning commission voted overwhelmingly to approve plans for the business park. The project still must be OK’d by the City Council.
Heady Investments has a track record of building commercial developments in Plano, Frisco, Allen and McKinney.
Disclosure of the Omnilife facility comes just a day after Allen economic development officials announced a new office for tech firm Pushpay.
